In a surprising collaboration that breaks traditional forecasts, the game developer has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Uncovered

According to the authorized statement, "A strange encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where hints of banned practices and fearsome changes resonate through the darkness." The storyline presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine sect.

The adventure focuses on "peculiar trials and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Changes

The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Additional Content

Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an exclusive katana in addition to numerous items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
